New Discoveries - December 2017

I haven't been buying any beauty products I don't *need* this month - I've been spending my money on Christmas goodies for Dean and Morgan instead of treating myself. That doesn't mean I don't have any new products to highlight in a New Discoveries post though! I have two new skincare goodies that I've been using, and a faux tanning product - which is completely uncharacteristic of me! Click through to read more about my three New Discoveries in December.

Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil
$9.99/125ml
My beloved L'Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil is nearing it's end, and while I was very tempted to shell out the $30 to repurchase it, I convinced myself to try a more affordable option this time around. I'm not about to act like Simple's Hydrating Cleansing Oil is an amazing product, but for $10 or less (I got it on sale for $6!) it's certainly efficient enough for me. When it comes to makeup removers, Simple and I have a good track record and I feel like the Hydrating Cleansing Oil will keep that record in tact.

The Ordinary 7% Glycolic Toning Solution
$14.50/240ml
I'm an acid toner addict, I think you know that by now, so after hearing endless praise for the exceptionally affordable 7% Glycolic Toning Solution, I couldn't help but pick it up! From first use, I greatly enjoyed this toner - it has a slight viscosity to it, helping it glide over the skin. The Ordinary's acid toner imparts a slight, pleasant tingle as it exfoliates the skin. I've often seen the Glycolic Toning Solution compared to the cult favorite Pixi Glow Tonic and I agree - but it's a touch stronger! The obvious next step if you want to upgrade your exfoliating routine.

LeTan Liquid Sun Tanning Drops*
$19.99/12.5ml
I'm not a fake tanner by any means, I embrace my pale skin, but I couldn't help being interested in experimenting with LeTan's Liquid Sun Tanning Drops. These customizable fake tanning drops arrived in my mailbox by surprise, and I immediately mixed a few drops into my moisturizer. The next day my skin tone was ever so slightly deeper with a glowy finish. I feel like the Liquid Sun Tanning Drops won't make much of an impact if your skin tone is much darker than me (Morgan tried it and saw no results), but if you're rather fair, these are a fun way to add a touch of sun to your skin without the damaging effects.
