H2o+ Agave Mist Moisturizing Body Balm Review

H2o+ says their Agave Mist Moisturizing Body Balm is a "moisture intensive body lotion" that "deeply hydrates and softens dry skin with marine extracts with shea butter, provitamin B, and essence of blue agave." This lotion contains 250ml (8.5 fl oz) and retails for $12. Check your local Ulta, where this product is currently being cleared out and has it's price reduced to about $7. This product does not seem to be discontinued, just no longer carried at Ulta. If Agave Mist doesn't spark your interest, thirteen other scents are available. H2o+ is not cruelty free. This lotion was made in the USA.

I think the Agave Mist Moisturizing Body Balm has simple but lovely packaging. This lotion comes in a tall, pearlised, light aqua squeeze tube with a white flip top cap. The product and scent name are printed on the front of the tube. A product description and full ingredient list can be found on the back of the bottle. On top of being pretty, packaging is also recyclable.
H2o+'s Moisturizing Body Balm is a lightweight, white lotion. Honestly, I don't have a lot to say about this lotion's formula, I find it fairly basic. This thin body moisturizer has a cooling sensation and sinks in almost instantly, leaving my skin feeling satiny and lightly moisturized. I love how silky smooth H2o+'s Body Balm makes my arms and legs feel, but this lotion isn't hydrating enough for my problem areas - elbows, ankles and hands.
I really love the Agave Mist scent - but I think it'll be difficult or m to describe. H2o+ describes the scent as a blend of blue agave (a scent I'm not familiar with) and cucumber. Agave Mist doesn't seem to have any stand out notes, but its a light, green, aquatic scent with a subtle underlying sweetness. Agave Mist lingers on the skin for about an hour after application.
H2o+'s Agave Mist Moisturizing Body Balm isn't anything special, but I do like it. This light lotion delivers a fair amount of moisture, but not enough to quench thirsty skin. The Agave Mist fragrance is lovely, watery, and not too strong. For being a little bit of a luxury lotion, the price is reasonable. I've already bought one backup bottle while I could get it for half price. If you don't mind a tiny splurge and don't need a lot from your lotion, H2o+'s Moisturizing Body Balm is worth trying.
