Gotta be honest with yinz, I had a very poor week when it came to working out. The week started well, but after Wednesday's sickening election results, I really lost motivation. I was too stunned to work out the day of, and have woke up feeling sick, distracted, and worried every day since. To calm my nerves, I've been going on extra long walks, but for the last few days I haven't been able to focus on pilates; they give me too much uninterrupted time to think. I'm hoping to get back on them in the new week.
I didn't do a great job eating well either. For the better part of the last fortnight, I'd adhered to my 1200 calorie diet pretty well, outside of pre-planned treat days. However, this Friday I partied a little too hard, and was slightly too indulgent on Sunday afternoon, and went over by 400 calories both days. Not proud of that.
The good news is, despite my reduced efforts, I've pretty much achieved my goal. I'm down another kilo to 50 kilos. I'm pretty pleased with the results, and I'm going to take the rest of the way slow - I'm not overly committed to losing the final kilo. I've changed my goal in the My Fitness Pal app to losing a quarter of a kilo per week, as opposed to half, in an attempt to transition into maintenance mode. Day 2: Slim n Sculpt Workout. I did a bit of stretching in our pool today to help loosen up my hamstrings. Had a full day today and wasn't able to squeeze in an extra walk.
Day 3: Day Off. I watched the election coverage all day and honestly felt so sickened by the results that I couldn't do much of anything afterwards.
Day 4: 5.5K Walk
Day 5: 5K Walk
Day 6: 6.5K Walk
Day 7: 11K Walk + Light rock climbing. We hit the beach today. I did a bit of splashing, some rock climbing, and hung out by a very lively and interesting rock pool - I've never seen so many hermit crabs! A treat from Starbucks and a small meal from Oporto for lunch canceled out any physical benefits, but it was my first good day this week.
