My Favorite Exfoliators

I'm sure a lot of my readers have noticed that my interests have shifted from makeup to skincare over the last year or so. I've been trying and testing lots of product and learning more about how they're formulated - I've especially enjoyed gaining more knowledge about ingredients! Anyway, after rummaging through a drawer full of skincare, I decided to highlight my favorite exfoliating products. Exfoliators are some of my favorite products to try - be they physical, chemical, or both! I narrowed it down to a couple favorites, let's take a look!

Favorite Traditional Scrub
120 grams/$34
Vasanti's Brighten Up Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator is a physical exfoliator with a creamy white base that's packed with fine granules to gently slough off dead ski, refining and softening my complexion significantly. Though Vasanti's Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator does contain some papaya enzymes for chemical exfoliation, but the concentration is quite small.

Favorite Alternative Scrub
250 grams/$36.95
When my skin is in a bad mood, Lush's Ocean Salt is the product I reach for. This salt based scrub can be kinda harsh, but it's lime and vodka infused formula dries up my acne and clears my skin up in a flash. Ocean Salt is best used sparingly to avoid over drying and over exfoliating the skin. This Lush scrub can also be used on the body.

Favorite Exfoliating Cleanser
150ml/$7
I've gone through at least half a dozen bottles of this drugstore cleaner over the years, I love it that much - its easily the longest standing favorite in the bunch. Olay's Pore Minimizing Cleaner+Scrub works into a soft lather that gently and effectively cleanses, while fine granules provide a mild exfoliation. A healthy dose of Salicylic Acid is mixed in to help clear pores and exfoliate the skin on a chemical level. A great cleanser if you have congested skin, and a long time favorite of mine.

Favorite Physical/Chemical Exfoliant
Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish*
75 grams/$72
The Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish was a game changer for me when it comes to exfoliation! This product is two minute glycolic mask that becomes a fine scrub upon removal - a true multi-tasker that really packs a punch. The Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish has immediately apparent results - softer, smoother, and more radiant skin in an instant. Because this product exfoliates on multiple levels, it should be used no more than twice a week.

Favorite Exfoliating Facial Pads
I discovered these glycolic heavy toner pads just about a year ago and I haven't been without them since! Nip+Fab's Glycolic Fix pads are softly textured cotton disks saturated in a toning solution that has helped to reduce my acne scaring and prevent more problem spots from popping up. While glycolic acid is the star of the show here, the Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads also offer a bit of plumping and hydrating Hyaluronic Acid to ward off any dryness. It's hard for me to imagine my skincare routine without this product.

Favorite Exfoliating Toner
Pixi's Glow Tonic is a cult favorite for a reason! This gentle exfoliating toner has an absolutely brilliant and well balanced ingredient list - gylcolic and glumatic acids work to exfoliate the skin, while aloe and witch hazel tone and soothe, giving you an even, healthy, glowing complexion that you can't ignore. I just started my second bottle of Glow Tonic and I'm sure it's far from my last!
