Soap&Glory calls The Scrub of Your Life "the ultimate super smoothing body buffer. Its thick, its foamy, its fantastically fresh, its satisfyingly stuffed with just the right ratio of scrubbing beads. Use this buffer to smooth the body, from rough elbows and dry shins to the back of your arms." This body scrub contains 200ml (6.7 fl oz) and sells for $12 at Ulta and Walgreens, £7 at Boot in the UK, and $16 at Mecca in Australia. Soap&Glory is cruelty free This sudsy scrub was made in the brand's home country, the United Kingdom.
Like all of Soap&Glory's products, The Scrub of Your Life has cute, cheeky, pink packaging. This body scrub comes in an upright squeeze tube with a flip top cap. A handful of sassy claims are listed on the front of the tube, and on the back you'll find a fully ingredient list and some instructions. Packaging is recyclable.
The Scrub of Your Life isn't truly a 'scrub', so much as it is a gently exfoliating body wash, at least in my opinion. This shower gel has a clear, bubbly, jelly-like base laced with pink biodegradable wax beads for 'exfoliation'. While I love the soft, light lather this product works into, I hate it's little pink particles. I'm not sure why these 'beads' ever became a thing, they're generally ineffective for exfoliation, and they're impossible to rinse off! Seriously, The Scrub of Your Life's lather rinses away no problem, but the beads cling to my skin no matter how well I try to rinse. So much for the two minute shower that Soap&Glory promotes. This scrubby shower gel will get you nice and clean, but it doesn't do much by way of exfoliation. Because this 'scrub' works into a soft but bountiful lather and provides only the mildest exfoliation, I love to use The Scrub of Your Life for shaving, and recommend it for that if you happen to have a tube on hand! I do have to mention though, that this shower gel hasn't been kind to my eczema, irritating any flare ups I may have.
The Scrub of Your Life is scented with Soap&Glory's signature Pink scent, which the brand describes as a blend of "fresh bergamot, mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, and soft musk & amber base note". I do love this fragrance, which manages to be fruity, floral, and musky all at once, without being too much! It's a little difficult for me to pick out individual notes in Soap&Glory's Pink fragrance (which varies slightly, product to product), but to me, The Scrub of Your Life smells like a musky jasmine and rose blend. It's lush.
I have mixed feelings about Soap&Glory's The Scrub of Your Life. If you're looking for an effective body scrub, you'll be disappointed by this product, the pink wax beads won't do much in terms of scrubbing. However, The Scrub of Your Life is a decent shower gel, it lathers nicely and it smells fantastic. At the end of the day, Soap&Glory has better scrubs, and better shower gels than The Scrub of Your Life, so I can't really recommend it, and I wouldn't repurchase it.
