The Hydrology ReAffirm Day Fluide comes in a frosted glass bottle with a convenient pump dispenser. The product name and Borghese logo are printed on the front of the wide, rectangular bottle in blue lettering. Something about the shape of this bottle looks so classic and pretty to me, I really like it. If you're looking for additional information about the ReAffirm Day Fluide, you'll need to refer to it's cardboard box, which offers a full ingredient list, and the Hydrology range's skincare philosophy. All packaging is recyclable.
Borghese Hydrology ReAffirm Day Fluide is not a fluid at all, but rather a thin white cream. This lightweight moisturizer spreads nicely over the skin, but it take too long sink in - more than five minutes, and it leaves a greasy residue that I need to blot off before moving on with my 'morning' routine. I hate a holdup and the ReAffirm Day Fluide Almost always causes one. The Hydrology ReAffirm Day Fluide is undeniably moisturizing, perhaps a bit too moisturizing for my combination skin - it would be an excellent choice for normal to dry skin. Even though I find Borghese' ReAffirm Day Fluide a little too heavy, I haven't suffered any ill effects or breakouts after nearly two months of daily use.
This moisturizer's formula isn't anything special or exciting, but it is good. The Hydrology ReAffirm Day Fluide has a pretty common base of water, thickening agents, and emulsifiers. A healthy dose of glycerin and hyaluronic acid hydrate the skin, with the help of squalane and collagen. This moisturizer also offers multiple antioxidants like arginine, algae and seaweed extracts, grape seed extract, and yeast to nourish and protect the skin. Borghese also chose to include a few types of plant stem cells, a trendy new ingredient with no proven benefits. The most beneficial aspect of ReAffirm's formula is the broad spectrum SPF 15 sunscreen in the form of avobenzone, homosalate, and oxybenzone - it's not a lot of sun protection, but it's better than none at all. The Hydrology ReAffirm Day Fluide contains a very small amount of fragrance, but it has a strong sunscreen like scent.
Borghese Hydrology ReAffirm Day Fluide is a nice daytime moisturizer for those with dry to normal complexions. This light face lotion delivers sun protection and hydration in an attractive bottle, at a reasonable mid-range price point. For what it is, I do think this moisturizer is over priced. The ReAffirm Day Fluide is very similar to one of my go-to skincare products, Olay's Complete Daily Moisturizer, which is much more reasonably priced - I think I'll stick to that one.
