I've gotta hand it to Solvaderm - their packaging is great! The Eyevage Age Defying Eye Cream comes in an opaque white plastic bottle with a silver pump that dispenses just the right amount of product. The Solvaderm logo and product name are printed on the front of the bottle. Turning to the back of the bottle, you'll find a product description, directions, and a complete ingredient list. Packaging is so well designed - it's sanitary, functional, and attractive, but sadly it isn't recyclable.
Solvaderm's Eyevage Age Defying Eye Cream is an emollient but lightweight, soft green lotion. This eye cream sinks in quickly, imparting lots of moisture without being greasy or sticky. After five weeks of use, I can't say that I've seen any significant results from this anti-aging eye cream. Though Eyevage seems to be mildly brightening, it hasn't improved the texture of my under eye area; the fine lines that I do have (which are pretty minor) aren't reduced in any way. That being said, I'm more than pleased by how hydrating Eyevage is; I end up using it on any dry patches I develop.
The Eyevage Age Defying Eye Cream has a good ingredient list - I can see a lot of quality hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, squalene, and multiple beneficial botanical oils. Equally pleasing is the lack of problematic ingredients, there are a couple preservatives right on the tail end of this fragrance and paraben free eye cream's ingredient list, but no major irritants. Despite being fragrance free, Solvaderm's eye cream has a light, pleasant scent.
In my opinion, Eyevage is best suited to those with youthful, dry to combo skin that want a preventative, hydrating eye cream. If you're looking for an eye cream that'll treat existing signs of aging, you'll need something more 'active'...we're talking retinols and the like. Solvaderm's Eyevage Age Defying Eye Cream may be too heavy for oilier skin types.
Solvaderm's Eyevage Age Defying Eye Cream is good, but not incredible. While I love this eye cream's smooth and rich texture, and how purely hydrating it is, I can't say that Eyevage has yielded any spectacular results. For that reason, I wouldn't repurchase it - there are more affordable eye creams that I prefer. If you're going to spend $70+ on a Solvaderm product, I recommend their Juvabrite Skin Brightening Complex instead.
