The Body Shop Strawberry Body Sorbet Review

The Body Shop says "scoop an industry first with these cool body moisturisers, infused with your favorite scents! Our breakthrough sorbet texture instantly melts into skin for a frosty burst of fresh moisture, keeping you hydrated without the sticky feeling. Made with 100% organic Community Fair Trade Aloe Vera from Guatemala to comfort, cool and soothe thirsty skin." After all the beauty blogger buzz about these gel lotions last year, I knew I had to pick one up before summer started - so I grabbed the Strawberry Body Sorbet during a 20% off Ulta promotion a few months ago. If strawberries aren't quite your thing, this product is also available in six other scents (one limited edition). The Body Shop's Body Sorbets contain 200ml (6.7 fl oz) and sell for $15, but The Body Shop almost always has a sale or coupon code to knock the price down a few dollars. The Body Shop is cruelty free. This product was made in the UK.

The Body Shop's Body Sorbets come in tall, frosted squeeze tubes with the product name printed on the front, along with an image of the coordinating fruit (or flower). An ingredient list can be found on the back of the recyclable tube.
The Body Shop's Body Sorbets have an interesting texture for sure, and I'm struggling to find the words to describe it! The Body Sorbets aren't a pure gel, they're too textured for that, if you know what I mean - this product feels like an ultra light air whipped gel. The Strawberry Body Sorbet spreads over the skin with ease, feeling quite watery and cooling (a sensation you can further enhance by keeping your Body Sorbets in the fridge - I highly recommend it!). This gel lotion absorbs into the skin pretty much instantly, leaving my skin feeling lightly hydrated and a little wet - like its just been spritzed with a fine mist of water - that damp feeling evaporates quickly. The Body Sorbets aren't exceptionally moisturizing, so if you have dry, needy skin, The Body Shop's gel lotion is not for you. I feel like this silky moisturizer is betst suited for soothing and cooling skin that got a bit too sunkissed or just had a fresh shave.. As with all of The Body Shop's scents, the Strawberry scent is one note and fairly realistic (though a bit strong). The fragrance lingers on the skin for about an hour after application, and the scent will permeate your clothes and towels.

The Body Shop's Body Sorbets are a great summertime body moisturizer that'll provide light hydration and cool relief on those hot summer days. My little footers tend to get hot and tired during the summer and The Body Shop's Strawberry Body Sorbet has been just what they need! If you'd like a lightweight moisturizer to keep you cool and smelling fruity all summer long, check out The Body Shop's Body Sorbets. I think it's pretty likely that I'll repurchase this lotion sometime, maybe in the limited edition Virgin Mojito scent - I bet that smells fresh as HECK.
