The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream Review

The Body Shop Eye Cream
The Body Shop calls their Vitamin E Eye Cream a "moisturizing eye cream that helps protect the delicate skin around the eye area, reducing the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. Contains moisturizing shea butter and rose hip oil." This eye cream contains the standard 15ml (.5 fl oz) and has a regular retail price of $19 - but between The Body Shop and Ulta's nearly constantly sales, coupons, and special offers, it isn't hard to get a great deal on this eye cream. Even though the brand was acquired by L'Oreal, The Body Shop has remained cruelty free. The Vitamin E Eye Cream was made in the UK.

The Body Shop's Vitamin E Eye Cream comes in a light pink, opaque squeeze tube. The brand logo, product name, and a few claims are printed on the front of the tube. A full ingredient list and directions on how to properly apply this eye cream ca be found on the back of the recyclable tube. I'm a big fan of the Vitamin E Eye Cream's packaging, very functional and sanitary - all eye creams should come in a squeeze tube!!
The Body Shop's Eye Cream claims to cover all the bases - lines, puffiness, circles; you know, the usual. but honestly I feel like this thin white lotion doesn't really do anything aside from moisturize. The Vitamin E Eye Cream absorbs quickly, leaving under eye lightly hydrated, with a matte, non greasy finish, making this eye cream appropriate for both day and night time application. Unfortunately, this eye cream doesn't seem to offer any other benefits. After about nine weeks of steady use, I haven't seen any results - my under eye area looks exactly the same. This eye cream is fragrance free, but it has a mild, oatmeal like scent to it.

The Body Shop's Vitamin E Eye Cream is just ok. This eye cream provides a hint of moisture, but no real benefits - making the Vitamin E Eye Cream best suited for youthful or oily skin. I'll finish my tube off, the Vitamin E Eye Cream works well enough for me, and I got it for a fair price, so I don't regret buying it. That being said, I would'nt repurchase The Body Shop's Vitamin E Eye Cream, and would only recommend it to teen who want to get into the habit of using an eye cream. If you want a more effective eye cream that's still budget friendly - try Sibu Beauty's Age Defying Eye Cream instead.
