Shade 1 is a chalky off white shade with a satin finish. This eyeshadow is very chunky and crumbly in the pan. This cream colored shade is very easy to blend, despite its problematic texture.
Shade 2 is a matte, true blue. This shadow is quite pigmented and it feels soft in the pan. Any hint of softness departs as soon as you apply this bold blue shade, it resits blending and is a general pain to work with.
Shade 3 is a cool, matte purple. This shadow offers decent pigmentation, but it applies quite patchily and can be just a little difficult to blend.
Shade 4 is a bright, cool pink with a load of silver glitter. This eyeshadow is very pigmented, but it loses it''s potency during blending. The glitter particles aren't bound well to the base shade, causing fallout during application and wear. This hot pink shadow causes loads of powder pick up, so the glitter has infected the other three shades.
ELF's Essential Eyeshadow Quad in Punk Funk is super bold. This garish color scheme would be fun for a party or Halloween, All four of Punk Funk's colors are well pigmented, but each is plagued with it's own textural issues. Overall, this set of four bright eyeshadows is passable if you want to play around with bright colors.
