Chapstick Sweet Peach Total Hydration 3-in-1 Lip Care Review

Chapstick says their new, Target exclusive Total Hydration 3-in-1 Lip Care "moisturizes, renews, and transforms to help maintain younger, healthier looking lips. It contains a botanical moisturizing complex and it helps to keep lips moisturized for up to eight hours. It contains botanical oils known to be rich in omegas 3/6/9. Helps improve the damaged appearance of skin, helping your lips appear healthier and more youthful." This lip balm is available in three flavors, I'm reviewing Sweet Peach. I received this Chapstick in the Target Winter Beauty Box. Each Total Hydration 3-in-1 Lip Care contains 3.5 grams and sell for $2.99 each, or $8.97 for a three pack. Chapstick is not cruelty free. This balm was made in Korea.

Chapstick's Total Hydration 3-in-1 Lip Care comes housed in a grey plastic tube with orange details. The product name is printed on the cap in black lettering. Product scrolls up and down smoothly. Packaging is purse and pocket friendly, but not so environmentally friendly - it isn't recyclable.

The first time I used Chapstick's Total Hydration 3-in-1 Lip Care, I thought it was amazing! While I still like it, my enthusiasm has waned somewhat. This lip balm is super smooth, it practically melts onto the lips. Total Hydration 3-in-1 Lip Care feels slick and super moisturizing at first; but its pretty short lived. Within an hour, my lips feel kinda dry and needy again, so repeat application feels necessary. This is the kind of lip balm that's habit forming. This colorless lip balm is pretty much invisible on the lips, it doesn't even leave a noticeable shine - which is kinda refreshing in a world of super glossy, often tinted balms. The Sweet Peach flavor is surprisingly tasty, though a touch artificial.
Chapstick's Total Hydration 3-in-1 Lip Care is alright - I like it, but don't love it. The texture of this lip balm is pleasant, and it provides a short lived surge of moisture. This seems like more of a preventative balm as opposed to one to help heal lips that are already chapped and dry. The Sweet Peach flavor is a real treat - and that's coming from a straight up peach HATER.  I don't think I'll repurchase this lip balm, I prefer Baby Lips or BeneBalms. I will finish this Chapstick off though. If you need a lip balm to slap on before going out in the cold, this is a reasonably priced choice.
