Olay Fresh Effects Long Live Moisture Satin Finish Lotion Review

Olay says their Fresh Effects Long Live Moisture Satin Finish Lotion will help you "lose the shine and get satiny. Infused with the essence of honeysuckle and white tea, this lightweight, hydrating formula keeps your skin super soft and smoother for up to 24 hours, so your satiny finish makes it to midnight with you." This facial moisturizer contains 50ml (1.7 fl oz) and sells for around $12-15, depending on where you make your purchase. Unfortunately, Olay is not cruelty free and do not offer information on where their products are made.

I love the packaging for Olay's Fresh Effects line - the colorful but clean style is appealing. The Long Live Moisture Satin Finish Lotion comes in a white and lime green box that offers tons of product information and a full ingredient list. The moisturizer comes in a narrow, round white bottle with a pump. The Olay Fresh Effects logo and product name are printed on the front of the bottle. Packaging does not seem to be recyclable.
The Long Live Moisture Satin Finish Lotion is a pearly white gel cream. This oil free moisturizer is very lightweight and sinks in quickly. I'm sorry to report that Long Live Moisture provides very little hydration. As soon as this moisturizer sinks in completely, I feel like I need to reapply more! Its hard to believe how ineffective this product is for my normal-to-combo skin. I feel like Olay's Long Live Moisture Satin Finish Lotion is only appropriate for those with severely oily skin. I'm also highly disappointed by the lack of SPF. Olay's Fresh Effects moisturizer has a light, fresh scent.
Olay's Fresh Effects Long Live Moisture Satin Finish Lotion was a disappointment. Its rare for me to dislike an Olay product, they're one of my favorite and most trusted brands, but this gel moisturizer kinda sucked, at least for me. There really wasn't anything special or beneficial about Long Live Moisture, it doesn't even offer sun protection. Olay offers better moisturizers in their regular line for a lower price point. I do not recommend this product.
