Almay Rosy Lipped Liquid Lip Balm Review

Almay calls their new Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms a "lifesaver for your lips! Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms combine the lip conditioning care of a balm with the shiny color of your favorite gloss. Shiny color drenches lips with 2x the hydration as lip loving conditioners provide 194% more moisture for softer, smoother lips over time." Almay goes on to mention that this gloss-balm hybrid is non sticky, gluten free, hypoallergenic, and dermatologist tested. Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms are available in ten shades, this review is for Rosy Lipped. Each of these glosses contains 7ml (.24oz) and retails for around six dollars. Almay does not test on animals.

Almay's Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms have really dull packaging. These nourishing glosses come in plain, clear, round tubers with a grey cap. The only hint of embellishment is a white band at the top of the tube, bearing the Almay logo in black letters. The shade name can be found on a sticker on the bottom of the tube. The Color+Care Liquid Lip Balm has a basic doe foot applicator. All packaging is recyclable.
Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms are light, smooth, moisturizing lip glosses with a buttery feel on the lips. I only get about an hour of wear from Almay's lip gloss, as it slowly sinks int to the lips - like a balm. These liquid lip balms are fairly hydrating, and give the lips a smoother appearance. The gloss/balm's moisture lasts for about two hours. Almay's Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms have a sweet scent and flavor that remind me of cocoa.
Rosy Lipped is a sheer, peachy nude with no shimmer. It looks quite tan based in the tube, but that doesn't translate on to the lips or skin. Rosy Lipped has an average glossy finish. I've never really been one for nude lips, but Almay's Rosy Lipped may change my mind about that. I think the barely there peach tint is lovely and quite flattering.
Almay's Color+Care Liquid Lip Balm in Rosy Lipped is quite nice. The formula is moisturizing, but its far from long wearing. If you're looking for color, you'll end up reapplying this product hourly, but on the other hand it'll give you a good couple hours of hydration. Rosy Lipped is a lovely, sheer, peach based nude. Its not the kind of color I typically choose for myself, but I'm glad I did. Try one of Almay's Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms, they're so silky and fairly priced!

    1. This isn't a thick gloss, its more mid-weight, but wow the moisture it gives is lovely.

  3. It doesn't embellish much because it doesn't want to be sent to the box for 2
