Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray Review

Healthy Sexy Hair says their Soy Renewal Beach Spray "provides body, fullness, and light hold while helping to nourish, protect, and heal hair from damage with the power of argan oil. It creates undone texture that looks and feels like you've spent a day by the sea!" This sea salt texturizing spray contains 5.1 fl oz (150ml) and retails for $19.95. I received a deluxe sample of the Soy Renewal Beach Spray in an Ipsy Bag. Sexy Hair products are not tested on animals. This styling product was made in the USA.

Healthy Sexy Hair's Soy Renewal Beach Spray comes in a blue plastic bottle topped with a brown spritzer. The spritzer's trigger features a useful locking mechanism. The product name and Healthy Sexy Hair logo are printed on the front of the bottle. Directions and an ingredient list can be found on the back of the bottle. All packaging is recyclable.
Healthy Sexy Hair's Soy Renewal Beach spray is a salt water based texturizing spray that aims to mimic the beachy, crunchy waves that you get after a day of playing in the ocean. To counteract the drying effect of the salt, Healthy Sexy Hair has added a healthy dose argan oil and a few other nourishing ingredients. Users are directed to spritz this styler "into damp hair and let dry naturally or blow dry with a diffuser for all over texture. Use on dry hair for detangling or to add volume to the roots." I've tried all of the suggested methods, and to be quite frank I've never really seen any results to speak of. Healthy Sexy Hair's Soy Renewal Beach Spray mists finely into the hair. Used in damp hair, I see no results at all. Sprayed into dry hair, this beach spray gives me short lasting gentle waves. What the Soy Renewal Beach Spray does best is deliver volume. This styler volumizes nicely, but once again the results do not last long. This salt water spray isn't drying, but the argan oil doesn't seem to be noticeably moisturizing - they seem to balance each other out. Healthy Sexy Hair's Soy Renewal Beach Spray smells fantastic when first applied, it has a pleasant sunscreen scent (very similar to Loova's The Beach fragrance). However, it dries down to a scent very similar to actual ocean water.
Healthy Sexy Hair's Soy Renewal Beach Spray doesn't work for me, but then again neither does actual ocean water. My thick hair just doesn't respond to sea salt. If you have thinner hair, this product will likely work better for you. The only thing this Sexy Hair styler does for me is add a touch of volume. If anything, I like the way it smells. I think I'll be passing the rest of my bottle of Soy Renewal Beach Spray to someone with thinner hair. I wouldn't repurchase this product nor do I recommend it.
