March Ipsy Bag

I just got my March Ipsy Bag. Compared to last month's, it's super late. (I got mine later than everyone else for a valid reason though). The theme of this month's bag is "The Great Escape". The bag is a white and navy stripes with nautical anchors and ropes. Very cute but not something I think I'll use often. The material is a little strange, it reminds me of the kind of material a spring jacket is made of. Maybe that's the point. Anyway, for those who don't know, Ipsy is a monthly subscription service that costs $10/month with free shipping. Every month you're promised 4-5 deluxe samples. Let's see what I got this month:

GlamRx Mini Freestyle Palette: - $10
I knew we were getting a mini palette this month, and I had my fingers crossed for a small Z palette, but alas, it was not. The GlamRx palette is pretty small, but I appreciate it's inclusion, since Ipsy likes to send pan shadows. The palette is made of cardboard, and has a metallic pan to pop your shadows into. The included mirror is nice. It's a useful thing to receive, but not exciting. This palette is the same size as the full size version, but doesn't include any product inside of it. This is an Ipsy exclusive.

The Claims:
The GlamRX Mini Freestyle Palette was made exclusively for ipsy Glam Bag subscribers. The magnetic base is the perfect spot to store pan-only eyeshadows (2 of which are included in this Glam Bag!), blushes & bronzers, or whatever you need for perfect for quick touch ups on the go! Whether you are headed off to spring break or just need a cute & clever way to store products in your bag, you can create the perfect makeup look and take it with you with your exclusive GlamRX Mini Freestyle Palette.

And if you're looking for even more cool on-the-go beauty, check out the Touch Up Palette from GlamRX. It is a unique, practical, pocket-sized palette that has what you really need on-the-go: brightening concealer, flattering tinted lipbalm, shine erase powder, black eyeliner, mirror. Includes eyeshadow/eyeliner applicator and a blush brush. The unique bottom level is the same magnetic palette that is included in the March Glam Bag.

The Offer:
20% off GlamRx palette with code IPSY at checkout.
 Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist - 1fl oz - $3.15, Full Size 6.75fl oz - $22

I actually already have this product, I got it in Juice Beauty's Organics to Go Value Set, but I'm cool with getting a second tube because 1, Ipsy didn't know I already had one, and 2, my previous bottle has a defective pump. This mist really does leave the skin feeling hydrated, but it smells kinda gross. The sample size is really nice though!

The Claims:

Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist tones, hydrates, and refreshes your face and hair while on the go, anytime of the day. Hydrate with the refreshing blends of organic juices for a fresh, radiant complexion.

The Offer:

 LA Fresh Travel-lite Makeup Remover Wipes - 8ct - $1.99

LA Fresh is a brand I've heard loads of YouTubers and bloggers talk positively about. LA Fresh seems to provide samples for lots of subscription services, so I shouldn't be too surprised to receive these. Eight is a good number of wipes in a sample. Just like the GlamRx palette, this is a useful sample to receive, but nothing that really gets me excited.

The Claims:
La Fresh® Travel Lite® portable towlette wipes are perfect for jetsetters, go-getters, outdoor enthusiasts and multi-taskers everywhere. Towlette packets are small in size, designed for practicality and are easy to apply discreetly. Each item is carry-on friendly and slim enough to slip into a pocket, purse or wallet. Perfectly portable, La Fresh® makes beauty a breeze when you’re on-the-go. For a refreshing getaway, grab any Travel Lite® and Live. Life. La Fresh.™

The Offer:
30% off Beauty Wipes at lafreshgroup.com with code IPSY13
2 Yaby Eyeshadow Pans - Full Size - $3.15/Each

Each Ipsy subscriber received two pans of Yaby eyeshadows, there were a total of four shadows up for grabs, I got the shades So Vein and Sand Dune, which are both really pretty but not impressively pigmented. At least these were the colors I wanted. The other two, Azalea and Seashell were too plain for my liking.

The Claims:
Whether you want to make a dramatic statement or just add a veil of color to your eyes, the yaby eyeshadow refills are extremely easy to work with. Can be used wet or dry and the smooth texture allows blending with ease. All shadows are vegan friendly and the pans are reusable for mixing. Glam Bag subscribers receive two of 80 fabulous shades.

The Claim:
25% off any order at camerareadycosmetics.com with code ipsyglam20130325

Total Value of Bag:
About $21.45

The value and quality of the products in this bag are no where near as good as they were in the past several months. I hope Ipsy isn't going downhill again. Nothing in this bag excites me at all. Pretty displeased to be honest.

Did you like this month's Ipsy bag?
