Eclos Cellular Activator Face Serum Review

Eclos Cellular Activator Face Serum "contains high potency plant stem sells for cellular rejuvenation". The stem sells are from a rare Swiss apple, the Uttwiler Spaetlauber. These stem cells "show tremendous ability to stimulate skin stem cells, encouraging aging skin to behave like younger skin". This serum is also enriched with plant extracts, vitamins, and anti-oxidants that "work in synergy with the Plant Stem Cell technology to help minimize the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and tired skin". According to Eclos 100% of women saw a reduction in wrinkle appearance within 2 weeks. Eclos makes a heck of a lot of claims about this serum. I got a little sample of this serum in my August MyGlam bag. I've never tried a serum before, so I found this to be the most interesting product in my bag. The sample bottle I got contains .5fl oz (15ml). The full size serum contains 1.7fl oz and retails for $24.99. Eclos products can be purchased at freemanbeauty.com, Ulta, and Target. This serum is not tested on animals and is made in the USA.
The sample bottle is a small white plastic tube with a pump. The pump doesn't clog up and is covered with a clear plastic cap that stays on well. The front label features the name of the product and a few lines of info about the stem cells. The back label features tones of claims, full of buzzwords that initially made me suspicious of the product. There's directions and some company info on the back label as well. I like the packaging, it's unusual for a sample to be packaged in a little pump bottle like this.
This serum is formulated without icky stuff like parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances and dyes, mineral oil and petrolatum. This serum is meant to be used day and night and is recommended to be used with Eclos' Regenerative Cream, also included in the August MyGlam bag.
The serum is a thin, white liquid with an almost gel like consistency. One pump is enough to cover my whole face. I don't go into very much detail during application, I just rub my hands together and apply it all over my skin very quickly. This serum sinks in almost instantly. It leaves my skin feeling a little firmer and perhaps a bit smoother. This serum doesn't seem to have any moisturizing benefits. I've been using this serum twice a day, with the suggested Eclos cream in the day, and Olay's Beauty Fluid at night
As a 20 year old who is frequently mistaken to be as young as twelve I feel like I really can't give an accurate account on Eclos' Cellular Activator Serum's anti-aging benefits. I've been using it twice a day for two weeks, so according to the brand I'm almost guaranteed to see a reduction in my wrinkles, not that I have many; I have a couple little lines in my under-eye area. Though they weren't severe or even that noticeable in the first place they are moderately diminished since I've started using this serum. I also think that my somewhat enlarged pores on my nose are less visible. Very pleasing results for a product I expected to have little effect. The only thing I'm not very fond of is the scent, which reminds me of Yon-Ka's Creme 93, a fancy French facial moisturizer. The scent is very herbal, strong, and kinda unpleasant. It doesn't linger long on the face, but it bothers me at first.
I'm actually pretty pleased with Eclos' Cellular Activator Face Serum. Despite the endlessly long description full of questionable claims, buzzwords, and marketing schemes (the mark of expensive products that don't really work), I actually see some results. I briefly considered buying a full size bottle of this serum, but then I remember that I'm 20, look younger than I am, don't need anti-aging products, and don't have $25 to waste on skincare. Serums tend to seem gimmicky to me. I'm pleased with the results I see and will definitely keep using this sample, which contained a generous amount of product, I've barely put a dent in it. I probably won't repurchase this product, at least not yet, but I will keep it in mind for the future. I recommend this product if you're on the market for a somewhat affordable serum, just don't get caught up in all the claims.
