BYS Gold Pearlised Liquid Eyeliner Review

BYS (Be Yourself)' Pearlised Liquid Eyeliner is a super metallic eyeliner available in 7 shades, I have Gold. This will likely be another short review, as very little official information is available on this product. Here are some things I can tell you though. BYS products are only sold in Australia, Malaysia, and New Zealand. This brand can be purchased mainly at Gloss, though it's also available in small shops and chemists, as well as online if you look hard enough. I purchased my 2.6ml bottle at Gloss for $3.95AUD. BYS products are made in China and are not tested on animals.
BYS Pearlised Eyeliners come in pretty standard liquid eyeliner packaging. A small, conical well made of clear plastic. No information is available directly on the packaging aside from the name of product. The applicator's handle is long, thin, and tapering, made of black plastic. A little tab is attached  to the handle, containing a full ingredient list as well as a small amount of company info. I removed it post-purchase. The previously mentioned applicator is a thin, flat brush. I've had my first tube of this eyeliner for over a year now, using it quite frequently, and not a single bristle is out of place. The brush is fairly stiff but still has enough give to fit the contours of the eye. The only downside to this eyeliner's brush is the mild clumping of product around the base of the brush. Easily fixed by wiping it along the mouth of the well, or with a kleenex.
The color of Gold is pretty interesting. It's a tarnished, antique type of gold. Though I probably wouldn't consider this eyeliner a true duo-chrome, it does have a reflective flash of a mossy green. A color like this would probably flatter hazel eyes like nobody's business. It looks pretty great with my dark brown eyes too though. This liner is pretty versatile for me. It's easy for wearing on a lazy day with just a bit of tan eyeshadow in the crease and plenty of mascara. However, it also fits right in with rich gold looks like this one, and works well in bright looks, especially ones involving blue shadows.
BYS Gold Pearlised Eyeliner is one the thicker side for a liquid liner, but only because it's so densely pigmented. This liner delivers a smooth, metallic, entirely opaque line in just one quick, easy stroke. I really do mean easy too, this eyeliner applies smoother and with more ease than any other liquid eyeliner I've tried. It's totally converted me to brush tipped applicators. I've rarely ever messed up when applying BYS Pearlised Eyeliner. The precision it provides is fantastic, especially for creating flicks and cat eyes. This liner isn't perfect though. This liquid eyeliner has three downsides. This liner, because of it's thickness, takes probably twice as long to dry as most liquid liners. About a minute til it's dry to the touch. Probably not the best liquid liner for makeup noobs (unfortunate, because application is so easy). Also not for those who aren't a fan of not blinking for a minute or so. Be careful when applying this liner in the inner corners too, because this shit burns hardcore if you get it in your eye. Probably because some acid I'm not familiar with is the second ingredient. That's questionable. My final complaint is that BYS' Pearlised Liner tends to flake if touched, not that you should ever experience such an issue, since touching your eyes is naughty.
All up, I quite like BYS Gold Pearlised Eyeliner apart from three issues. This eyeliner applies beautifully, has a great brush tip applicator, and Gold is a lovely, complimentary, and versatile shade. The range of colors this liner is available in offers daily, average colors, to something a little unexpected. The formular of BYS Pearlised Eyeliner is thick with pigment, but a little bit questionable in the ingredient department. I've already bought another back up of Gold and am tempted to try another shade. If BYS is available to you, get this liner, unless you have sensitive eyes.
